“The fact you want to be better is the reason you are not”
6-Week Meditation Course in Solihull
For anyone who wants to learn to meditate, personal guidance is essential.
This six-week course teaches the preliminaries, providing a sound foundation for meditation practice informed by contemporary neuroscience, contemplative tradition, and 30 years of the teacher’s own contemplative practice.
Small, supportive group. Beginners welcome. In-person or live on Zoom. Scholarships available.
Why do we Meditate?
We often come to meditation wanting to feel calmer, to improve, or to become better versions of ourselves. This course invites us to look more closely at those hopes and assumptions, beginning with the intriguing paradox that wanting to be better is the reason we are not.
Is this for You?
The course can be done online via Zoom, but it is recommended that you attend in person.
Each week will consist of a talk, practice and Q&A, followed by guidance for self study at home.
The course is suitable whether you have never meditated, have tried meditation but not got on with it, or are an experienced practitioner wishing to return to the foundations and explore them anew.

Please note: This is an educational meditation course, not therapy or clinical treatment.
